Mengwi District is a sub-district in Badung Regency, Bali, Indonesia. Mangupura City, the capital of Badung district, is in this sub-district, which consists of several villages and sub-districts in Mengwi sub-district. Mengwi residents have a language that is slightly unique from Balinese, called Basa Mengoeian, which absorbs many words from Dutch.
