Jimbaran is a sub-district consisting of 12 traditional banjars and 1 official banjar in the South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali province, Indonesia. The location of this area is close to Nusa Dua and Ngurah Rai International Airport. Jimbaran traditional village was originally a village of fishermen and farmers. Since many of the first seafood eating places in southern Bali appeared in the Jimbaran coastal area as well as several international standard hotels, now the livelihoods of local residents are more focused on tourism.
Jimbaran Traditional Village, comes from the word "Jimbar" which means broad. If you look at the situation now, it actually has the above words, because the Jimbaran Traditional Village has a very large area. Regarding this area, the details are contained in "Pabelasan".
According to history, the traditional village of Jimbaran, some of which are included in the Jimbaran Chronicle, written in Balinese script on lontar, are still performed at Dukuh Jimbaran Temple. The inscription written in Tembaga is at Griya Satria Denpasar. There is also an inscription in the form of a palm leaf written in Balinese script which is now kept at Jeroan Mangku Nyoman Kusuma, in Banjar Tampuagan, Karangasem.
